Las Vegas Wedding Ideas?

Well, I procrastinated a nice long year (and changed destinations a few times) for our wedding….
The date never changed, but it’s coming up FAST!
I am back at square one
We’ve finally just said “Let’s just do Vegas” because everyone that attends is bound to have fun.
We want to save some serious money for the honeymoon (Bangkok and Phucket Island, Thailand ) so our budget is going to be anywhere between $50 to $2,000.
We’re looking for something a little more classy than a drive-thru wedding, but less showy than a wedding package at Cesar’s Palace. Something simple and intimate… nothing that would require a large budget for decorations or venue rentals…. (all that crap that goes into a blowout wedding).
We’re both athiest, extremely laid-back and easy going. We don’t want a church/chapel wedding, though we don’t want to just sign a license at the JOP (mostly this is me refusing to spend my wedding day in a government building). We just want some sort of affordable ceremony surrounded by our family and friends, but also fun and unique.
Opportunity for photos is a must. I have a family of photographers, including myself, so something aesthetically pleasing is also a must (since the ole fiance hates his photo taken, this might be the one opportunity I’ll get where he’d HAVE to be in pictures).
I know, it’s totally cliche’ to get married in Vegas and really quite “un-unique”… but I know there are some creative folks with great ideas out there!
I’m looking forward to some great ideas, with an open-mind!

Destination Wedding, What Kind Of Questions Should I Be Asking?

I’m planning on getting married in Las Vegas (Oct 2010), and I’m heading up in a few weeks to check out venues. What kind of questions should I be asking?
A few things have come across my path that I didn’t think to ask about, like whether or not the venue allows you to bring your own vendors (photographer, officiate, etc) and whether or not tips are included in the fee.
I love Las Vegas because of its convenient location (away from moochers!) and even for a nice (non-cheesy) wedding it’s still comparatively affordable. The distance makes checking places out difficult, and there’s only so much you can tell about a place by looking online. Planning a wedding makes traveling back and forth between CA and NV prohibitively expensive, so this trip up is pretty much my one chance to nail down a venue.
I’ve never done anything like this before, so I don’t know where to begin. Any help would be appreciated!

Cheapest Wedding Photography In Estes Park, Co?

My friend is getting married in May in Estes Park, and it’s a very low key, simple wedding. She’s wanting a good photographer for as cheap as possible (not wanting to spend thousands or even hundreds of dollars if possible). She’s been looking online for photographers but the cheapest she’s found is one hour for $400, the rest are in the thousands. She’ll be married outdoors at rocky mountain national park. Any ideas for a professional, affordable, quality photographer in that area? Thanks!

Ok, I’m starting wedding photography, and want your opinion on my work, prices, and possible website layouts.
Prices
Each comes with All photos on DVD (up to 1,000), 100 enhanced photo, copy right release so you can print them as much as you’d like.
$550 – 8 Hour
$450 – 6 Hour
$350 – 4 Hour
Engagement – $75, and that $75 goes into the price of a wedding if you book your wedding with us too. (So you’d be getting them free if you book a wedding with us too…or its just $75 if you don’t…I have to work on the wording for that)
I’m still building a portfolio but here is what I’ve got so far (and I just upgraded my camera gear so it can only get better haha).

And how bad would it be fore me to list competitors (with their permission) on my site. Part of the reason I started this is I’ve studied photography for almost 6 years, and am also a bride. I felt that brides needed an affordable photographer. I thought it would be nice to include a separate section to list venues, hints & tips, etc on my page. So brides who visit, but decide I’m not the photographer for them can still get helpful information. (This is where my fiancee says I’m too “nice” to be in marketing)

Anyone Know A Cheap Wedding Photographer Near Akron, Ohio?

We are getting married on June 13, 2009. The cheapest I have found is Affordable Photography, with a cost of $700 for 6 hours of service. I am not looking for anything real fancy, I can make, and would rather make my own album from pictures taken. Just want a lot of originals, or a CD full of pictures that i could print them myself at walmart. I am on a tight budget and $1000 is way to much out of my range. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, any ideas for a good place to get a cheaper cake? $300 is the average price I am finding. Again, looking for a simple but nice cake to serve 75-100 guests.
