My friend hired a person that was in school to take pictures. They are inexpensive bc they are more interested in learning. try to get a hold of the art institute or some of the tech schools. The student did a really nice job and i plan on hiring a student for my wedding!

Craigslist or weddingwire.com are great places. But be careful and ask for work examples. This is your wedding & you are putting a great deal of money into it. What good is the money if you don’t have the photos to remember it?
Most pro photographers will work with you on setting up a package for your budget. You could take the digital images on a CD or DVD instead of receiving prints and you could also opt for less coverage time.
This is the one area I discourage my clients from skimping on.

check craigslist for your area. they have a lot of people just starting out, looking to build up business and some with years of exp. you can find all kinds of price ranges to compare.

Usually in the back of wedding magazines they have ads where different services post things. Or go online and search.
