What To Pay Attention To When Buying Digital Cameras

Posted on | June 29, 2009 | No Comments

Well, the other day I was talking with a friend about the old Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT. This reflex camera is without doubt better than the previous 300D. I have used a Canon EOS 300D and it really is quite nice for what the price. But the 350D has some significant differences that are important to consider when comparing the two models. While the XT, and XTi further improve on this stalwart, the price is considerably higher.

The D60 scores points for its built-in camera conversion feature for RAW files which lets you customize contrast, color balance, sharpness, and hue before you save the images as JPEGs. Other tweaks in the conversion include red-eye removal, dynamic range adjustment, filter effects, and Quick Touchup. This olympus camera and this olympus e510 tips should help with canon rebel 2009.

It also has an in-camera editing feature for RAW files which you can use to tweak sharpness, white balance, saturation, etc. and convert these files to JPEG. Other features include 11-point autofocus, 2.7-inch LCD, Expanded Dynamic Range, Dust Alert, and auto-cleaning sensor.

The D60 has fast autofocusing, speedy startup, ISO 100-1600, minimal shutter lag, and 2.5-inch LCD screen with no live view. The downside is that it only has three autofocus points and will only autofocus when used with AF-S lenses.

No, you can’t spot problems on the LCD screen, simply because it’s too small to show every detail.

The XSi has 3.5 fps shooting speed, true spotmeter, and the first SLR model to have 14-bit A/D conversion and DIGIC III processor. Other features include software dust deletion, self-cleaning sensor, browser, RAW converter/editor, panorama stitcher, and remote operation.

Always use a photo editing software to fine-tune the pictures and only use the camera screen for general framing of the scene and confirmation that everyone is in.

In case of large groups, pay special attention to the left and rightmost people: you wouldn’t want to leave them out.
