   As a wedding photographer myself (albeit not in NY), I’d recommend that you don’t scrimp on your photographer. You really will get what you pay for, so keep that in mind! Good luck!

   Check out Duet Photography–they have offices in NYC. They take beautiful pictures, are friendly and affordable. Also Blue Daisy.
   For dj’s, I would HIGHLY recommend In The Mix. They are actually located in Mineola on Long Island, but they are fabulous. They were once a featured dj on TLC’s A Wedding Story and among the first to introduce photo montages to receptions and use video equipment. So, they do photo montages, give-aways, lighting, even play videos of the songs they are playing and can take photos and post them up instantaneously on the plasmas fo ryou. They are VERY reasonable and do a great job in getting everyone up and dancing.

   Here are some other ideas. Try Kim, she lives a bit north of town up by Hudson, so she is less expensive, but very good. And cool. Beowulf is also very cool, and speaks Spanish and Portuguese and German and Italian –
